Clung Tight is a Minneapolis, MN-based yachtgaze project led by Charles McClung (Carroll, Suzie, Shrimp Olympics), featuring Grace Keating [guitar/vocals], Alex Graves [bass], Noah Biasco [guitar/keys], and Mat Roberts [drums]. Their debut single release, Glimpses Of Paradise In The Devil's Arms, arrived September 4, 2026 via Closely Held. Blending smooth melody, jazzy chord structure, dreamy synth, fuzzy guitar, and rich vocal harmony over driving bass and drums, Clung Tight draws from the melodic sophistication of the '70s and the atmospheric palette of the '80s. Their songs combine the compositional pop sensibilities of Billy Joel, the chill harmonic stylings of Ambrosia, and the lush aesthetic of Tears for Fears into a sound that's both nostalgic and unmistakably their own. Exploring the strange comfort of embracing life's darker corners, Clung Tight crafts music that evokes an equal-parts cocktail of familiar, surreal, and bittersweet. It's music that makes you feel good to be bad, drift somewhere beyond the horizon, and still hold on.
