His classical guitar and compositional backgrounds were  enriched by influences from East European Gypsy music of his native Czechoslovakia, to the works of  jazz fusion guitarists Ralph Towner, Al Di Meola, Pat Metheny, Biréli Lagrène, and many Brazilian guitar masters.
