Sistahs with Soul, the annual three-part series, is back at IceHouse this fall, kicking off on October 12th with the Volume 1: The Soul Edition. Returning powerhouse Jamela Pettiford will be back to offer soul, gospel and classic rhythm & blues selections alongside, Jayanthi Rajasa (formerly known as Jayanthi Kyle), K.Raydio and Paige Ellis. All women epitomizing the Twin Cities sound through unparalleled song writing that speaks to culture of the place we all call home.

Hosted by Lisa Moy of GO95.3 with sounds by DJ NeekaSoDope, Sistahs with Soul offers us a blend of musical styles, an array of approaches to artistry and a gathering space for women from all walks of the art scene to convene in celebration of one another.

BdotCroc and TruArtSpeaks have created an environment centered on the celebration of women, the practice of creative exchange, support and just a pinch of networking—you don’t want to miss this!

Founded in 2006, TruArtSpeaks is an arts & culture organization based in Saint Paul, Minnesota with a mission to cultivate literacy, leadership & social justice through the study & application of Spoken Word and Hip Hop culture.
