"TaliaKnight is a Minneapolis based Chilean beatmaker, graphic designer and DJ. Her career began with the release of her first EP “Nocturna” in 2015. Ever since, she has been playing beat shows and DJing local shows such as Flavorsura, Pochanga, The Vibe, Nightchurch, Homebody, Slip n Slide, Collide, Turnt up Block Party, cmnd+ctrl, Friendsgiving, $i$ and also a spot in the 2016 “Last of the Record Buyers Showcase” in Soundset Festival.
QueenDuin aka Vanessa Duina Hernandez is an up and coming andro, queer Latinx DJ and vocalist in the Twin Cities. QueenDuin's magnetic and musical vibrations encompass the turn up and sensual liveliness that fits comfortably in any venue. From reggaeton and cumbia vibes to trap soul and electro-dance pop. QueenDuin features a span of music of music you can't help but move your body to.
DJ Lady Em was born & raised in Minneapolis. She is a youth worker, poet and DJ. She Co hosted a radio program on KFAI, Versed Radio, with her friend DJ Kary between 2013-2015. For the past two years she and DJ Michel Be have hosted the VIBE, a monthly dance night at Ginger Hop. She still occasionally spins records with her mentor, DJ Tarik Thornton, at the Nightingale. Her love for vinyl started back when she inherited her mom's Sade Diamond Life record. In another life she was Wednesday Addams.
Having family roots in Chicago, DJ Michel.Be comes from the power of jazz, 1960's and 1970's revolutionary funk, Hip Hop, House and altogether music of the African Diaspora.
Michel.Be started DJing professionally at Twin Cities Pride in 2014. Since then, Michel.Be has DJ'ed all across the Twin Cities for community events, club events, private parties, political fundraisers, and festivals.
In 2015, Michel.Be was invited to DJ for the 10th anniversary of "B-Girl Be: A Celebration of Women in Hip Hop" presented by Intermedia Arts. The following summer Michel.Be was commissioned to spin a vinyl series for Sommerfest at MN Orchestra Hall.
Last summer, Michel.Be also was a feature DJ for the Vinyl Lounge with DJ Lady Em at Rhymesayers' Soundset Hip Hop Festival in 2017.
Michel. Be continues to evoke spiritual power through music, and create positive dance spaces for Trans, Gender Non-conforming, Queer People of Color. You can catch Michel.Be at Ginger Hop with DJ Lady Em, where they co-host "The VIBE:a monthly Dance party"' in NE Minneapolis.
