This space is a reclamation of the body; an exploration and celebration of the Afro-genderqueer scene. "Black and Andro" focuses on black femininity and black masculinity on all bodies, the gender politics of non-binary/queer folx. The androgynous fashion parade.
All are Welcome. We only ask that those who attend be mindful of the space.
There will be music and a dance party following a fashion show featuring models taking part in the "Black Andro" photo shoot series.

Kevin "Kaoz" Moore:
Kevin Lanier Moore aka Kaoz is a native Clevelander and an award winning writer, actor, spoken word artist and educator. He began his artistic career appearing in countless plays, community theater projects, independent films and writing competitions. As grand poetry slam champion of his city, Kaoz represented Cleveland at the National Slam competitions two years in a row.

Taylor Seaberg is a Black, queer, multi-instrumentalist and cross-genre artist and organizer. They perform music solo and with their genre fluid band, “Seaberg” alongside Justin Halverson (bass) and Carlos Kelley (drums). Seaberg's in-studio performance of their song "Vibes" was featured in City Pages' Local Frames and the Local Current blog's Friday Five music video roundups. Seaberg has also performed at an MPR sponsored album release show for Chastity Brown's "Silhouette of Sirens" at The Fitzgerald Theater.
This event is in collaboration with Face Forward. Face Forward is a Minneapolis based organization where local artists of various disciplines come together to inspire positive social change through awareness and collaboration.
