A Minneapolis resident, Sophia Eris is a DJ/MC who has moved through various influences that have left her with a stirring ear for booming new hip hop. She is currently the touring DJ for the newly Atlantic Records signee, Lizzo. Together, the two have opened for acts including SZA, CHVRCHES, Sleater-Kinney and more. Sophia and Lizzo have also performed for David Letterman and Stephen Colbert, and just recently broke through on the Emmy nominated daytime TV hit, The Real. This summer, Sophia and Lizzo will continue to slay the festival circuit worldwide. Listen to all the artists’ music below:

Travis Gorman:

Being the in-house producer for Devon Reason, Dwynell Roland, and Finding Novyon, some of the Twin Cities’ most talented rappers, is a tall order. But beatsmith Travis Gorman is up to the task, pacing each MC aboard his sample-driven beats. A clear throwback to Blockhead and early Def Jux production, Gorman chops up records into quirky boom-bap beats. Though his best work is found on wax and on stage alongside his Rotation crew — see “This Year” by Dwynell Roland and “Pre-Heat” by Finding Novyon — Gorman’s partnerships with Rich Garvey and GainesFM demonstrate the versatility of his cuts. When you see the parenthetical “Prod. by Travis Gorman” on a SoundCloud track, you can trust it’s gonna be a quality song.

DJ Fundo:

Fundo’s resume speaks for itself. Having DJ’ed for Minneapolis hip hop mainstays like Toki Wright, M.anifest, Desdamona, Truth Maze, Kanser, and P.O.S. over the past 8 years, Fundo has no shortage of experience. This combined with the fact that he currently acts as the touring DJ for one of Minneapolis’ fastest growing rappers, Prof, and co-hosts the two premiere rap dance parties in the Twin Cities in Get Cryphy (Plain Ole Bill, Jimmy2Times, DJ Last Word) and Hands High (Plain Ole Bill), it’s hard to argue that many other DJ’s in the Twin Cities have been responsible for more good times, and subsequent hangovers, than Fundo.

Both as a touring DJ and a party DJ, Fundo has shared the stage with hip hop greats DJ Craze, DJ Premier, Z-Trip, Atmosphere, DJ Babu, Evidence, Ice-T, P.O.S., Grieves & Budo, Too Short, Killer Mike, Doomtree, Astronautalis, Yelawolf, Common, Krs-One, The Heavy, Mike Relm, and Bad Rabbits just to name a few.
