Good Doom:

New year, new band? Such is the philosophy of local lo-fi upstarts Good Doom, who released their first EP and played their first show on January 1st, 2016. With a few former members of Danger Ron & the Spins in their thralls, the group is coming out the gate with a refreshing sound on this first release, Naps, drawing influence from the likes of Stereolab and Broadcast, and pairing the dreamy and the noisy in a wonderful way. P•PL:

P • PL ("people") is a new-ish band in Minneapolis. They've self-released two short EPs, and sources say a debut full-length pop CD is in the works. New jams will be making appearances at live shows throughout the summer. Featuring members of bands, relationships, households, gyms, and families; we're talking about certified all-around humans.

RIYL: love, life, trying new things, no-fomo, busting a move, being yourself. Also, the radio.
