Since 1868

The building at 2528 Nicollet Avenue South was constructed in 1868 as an ice storage facility. Icehouse opened in 2012 (the business itself was registered in 2011) as an iconic music club that operates at the highest levels of service, sound, and ambiance in the Twin Cities.

As Icehouse's reputation and event calendar grew in the early years, bigger and bigger bands took notice of its unique environment and uncompromising commitment to the live experience. Beyond live music, Icehouse is a social space — a place to grab a drink with friends, catch a comedy show, or dance all night on Minneapolis' Eat Street. Icehouse continues to thrive thanks to the phenomenal support of our local community and musicians.
